Christmas 2019

Once again Laura Ashley entrusted us with the brief to showcase their Christmas collection of decorations, lighting, gift wrap and dining.

After much Pinterest pinning and mood board creation we settled on an overall look. From there we commissioned some master carpentry from our friends at Almost Everything, to help build our set.

This year more than ever we were conscious of the demands of social media deliverables, and the challenges of shooting vertically, 16:9 and square! We delivered 5 master films, each formatted for website, Facebook, IGTV and Instagram.

Occasion Wear : The Inspiration

The Christmas party season comes with that inevitable question; what are you going to wear? This year, Laura Ashley asked us to produce 7 films to present their Occasion Wear range and we couldn't have been more excited to dive into the world of fashion.

Across two days and shot in studio, the Pickle Jar Films team set designed, prop sourced and styled until our heart's content. We produced 6 individual films - one for each outfit - and an overarching master work. We also produced versions for Facebook and Instagram. These films can be found embedded in the Laura Ashley website as well as on their social media channels.

HOTELS

We were tasked with producing a film that would allow a glimpse into what goes into the making of a stay at a Laura Ashley hotel so memorable.
Focusing primarily on the work of the staff, we let our camera drift through the premises, allowing the hotel's look and design to speak for itself.

Christmas Dining 2017

We were delighted to work with Laura Ashley again on their Christmas video campaign. Shot across 2 days on location in Elstree and in store, we produced and directed 6 films for social media, including reversions for Instagram and Facebook. The films detailed all the key elements of the festive season - gift wrapping, the Christmas table and of course, dressing the tree.

Upholstery

To celebrate quality craftsmanship and the best of British workmanship Laura Ashley commissioned us to make a series of films under the banner of Made in Britain. This film, at their furniture factory at Long Eaton, showcased the physical work and skill that goes into each and every sofa, chair or footstool by a team of highly skilled workers using techniques and traditions passed down through the generations.

Design Service - Part 1

In our latest film for Laura Ashley's Design Service, we were tasked with documenting a project from the very beginning to a successful conclusion. Shot over 4 days, more than six months apart this is the first instalment, looking at the inspiration and plans outlined by the Design Service team.

And so the it's time for the big reveal! In this, the follow up film to our first visit to Wales, we finally see the Design Service Team pull out all the stops and carry out the finishing touches to complete this project.
